Despite the heavy rains on a Sunday afternoon I rushed to the Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero Theater to witness something that is very dear to my heart. I used to act on the stage a few years back. But today, I am but a humble spectator.

Since I am an advocate of Pinoy talent I dared not to miss a play directed by one of the most celebrated playwrights here in the Philippines and abroad — Anton Juan Jr. It was initially staged in Iowa. We are fortunate enogh to have it staged here.

Shadows of the Reef encompases the issues on poverty, morality and religion.

Laki sa isang bayang sadlak sa kahirapan at napilitang maging maninisid ni gabriel… Kung ikaw si Lupe, magpapapako ka ba sa krus?
