ROBBERY WITH CONSENT USING ALPHA PHI OMEGA’S NAME

August 28, 2006

**this seal is located outside the Puerto Princesa airport

A very good friend Yong called me last night to narrate an alarming story.  I know this is a pretty old story but I never really paid attention to it until I heard his experience.

“T*ng*na Sooz, nabudol-budol ako…”Yong

A week ago he was at Mc Donald’s Philcoa together with a couple of his colleagues.  While eating, three men approached them.  They introduced themselves, unfortunately he couldn’t remember the name of the other two – the only name he remembers was that of Victor’s.  On the course of the introduction Victor and the other two mentioned that they are members of ALPHA PHI OMEGA – two of them were from U.P. Diliman, while Victor claims he is from Centro Escolar Universityplease take note, they didn’t use the Greek letters ETA and PSI.  The moment Yong hears that, he immediately tells Victor that he has actually friends from APO and incidentally from CEU as well.  What Yong said did not bother Victor and the rest of the guys from pursuing their vicious plan.  Victor then started to explain that they are just there because of a survey.  And their stupid reason?

“Yung isa kasi naming sis nabastos…kaya kami nandito kasi gumagawa kami ng survey.  Gusto naming malaman kung pano kami makaka-ganti doon sa lalaking nambastos sa sis namin.  Wag kayong mag-alala hindi lang kami ang nandito.  Marami kami.  Nakapaligid silang lahat at inoobserbahan tayo.  Kaya hindi kayo mapapahamak.

Moreover, Victor mentioned that they are not supposed to stand or make any commotion; if they do something terrible will happen.  Out of nowhere Victor then asked them to hand their mobile phones and wallets because it’ll help them to get even to the guy who maligned their sis, if they don’t “Ma-papapddle kami ng mga brods namin.”  For some strange reason my friend and his companions handed them their stuff to the perpetrators as simple as 1, 2, 3.

Sooz, feeling ko na hypnotize kami…I know you guys will not be responsible for such a dumb act…or are you?  Nope I don’t think so…We were friggin hypnotized

Yong kept on yapping.  Until now, I am totally clueless on what their real motive was.  I mean they could always rob but why use our name

Being a past Grand Lady Chancellor and a member of one of the chapters being dragged, this is totally frustrating.  Good thing they weren’t hurt.  But if you think about it, naholdap ka at nagpaholdap ka ng walang kahirap-hirap sa isang APO.  There were even no blunt objects pointed to them.

Yong reassured me not to worry, he is perfectly fine.  He still looks up to us.  What irritates him is the fact that he was deceived using the power of hypnotism.

Isa na naman ba itong paraan upang sirain tayo, o trip lang nilang mag-nakaw at pinairal muna nila ang creativity nila?

MORE WAYS TO HELP GUIMARAS!

August 24, 2006

i am reposting this from BUNNYLETTE'S site

Hi Friends,

I guess by now you have heard of the oil spill which occurred a few weeks back along Guimaras island. With 2 million liters of oil spillage each day leaking out to destroy what is left of our natural resources, recent reports say it is the worst natural disaster our country is facing. We hope to encourage fellow filipinos to help out in the cause of preventing its spillage to reach further waters, and as much as possible, clean up the damage done.

With the threat to our natural resources, a group of concerned individuals called the Visayan Sea Squadron have started voulunteer work to help out fishermen, residents and fellow ilonggos who have been badly affected. Atty. Antonio Oposa, a lawyer specializing on environmental law, is currently heading the organization. It is for this cause that i am coordinating with them to create this donation drive. In lieu of cash, we are readily accepting donations of fishing rubber boots, rubber gloves and masks for the volunteers and fisherfolk who are, as i type, working to clean up the damage, with no thought of their health. They go through the muck in sandals and slippers, with not even a mask to protect their lungs.

Each week we will be sending over the accumulated donations to Iloilo to be distributed. For those in the QC area, please send over donations to 12 Highland drive Blueridge A, Katipunan Q.C. within the week. We send donations by Sunday each week. Please contact the number below if you want to have your donations picked up instead. :-) Cash is also a good alternative, for those who shall donate this, we will be buying the much needed materials for you, and put the donation under your name. Please contact me on where to channel the cash donations if ever, since we don't have an account up yet. You can also send it in through the address given.

Please attach with your donations your name and contact number so we can update you on the progress (we cannot pay you for your help, but we can at least thank you through media releases of Visayan Sea Squadron). We are also in the process of setting up donation areas where you can drop off your donations*.

You can also contact these numbers for more info and volunteer help:

Archie (0919 2253262)
Haydee (0928 2313193)
Lette (0915.7854035)

Again, thank you so much!

*Donation sites will be posted by the end of the week. thank you!

Help Save GUIMARAS Using Your HAIR

August 23, 2006

reposting from pikpakbum

In the next few days, Piandre Salons and a few other salons in Manila will collect hair from all the haircuts in their salons and send it to the Coast Guard of Manila who will in turn use it for efforts in Guimaras. Apparently, hair can help clean the reefs and hair in sacks can act as a barrier to prevent the oil from spreading.
So, if you have time, kindly have a haircut today in any Piandre Salon or in a Regines, Hairworks or Jesi Mendez Salon, OR you can also drop off your hair in any Piandre Salon. :)
Thanks! :)

my security blanket is gone…

August 9, 2006

“WILL YOU MARRY ME?” how to have the perfect proposal

August 3, 2006

How many of you have seen this Korean movie entitled
SAD MOVIE?  One guy there whose name is Ha-Seok has a very interesting job.  When Ha-Seok’s girlfriend broke up with him he had a hard time recuperating.  So instead of making things hard for him he decided to put up his own business and called it The Separation Agency.  His main job is to make the hardest part of any relationship easy – the break - up.  He is basically hired by people to do the farewell for them.  All clients must inform him where he could find the recipient of the heart breaking news, the reason for the break-up and the most important thing – he needs to make sure that the motive was properly addressed.  Cool huh…  To give you a better view on how he does his job, ganito more or less ang mga linya nya pag nakikipag - break!   =)

Ha-Seok:  Hi!  Are you Anna?

Anna:  Yup, why?

Ha-Seok:  Well, I was sent by Bogart…  You know him right?

Anna:  Yeah, why what’s up?

Ha-Seok:  Bogart would just like to inform you that he is breaking up with you…  Reason for break-up:  he has found a new love.  I just wanna make sure you heard what I just said…Right?

Just imagine the kind of agony Ha-Seok leaves the moment he is done with his mission – ang paghiwalayin ang mga magkarelasyon.  Isn’t painful to hear from another person that your partner is longing to dump you for the longest time…

Well, that’s not what I wanna discuss today.  When I got home this morning, I decided to tune in to Studio 23’s morning show – Breakfast Supersize.  At the course of the program, something really interesting caught my attention.  As opposed to Ha-Seok’s job, the show discusses what is it like to be a   Proposal Planner?  Yup, you’re absolutely right – a proposal planner… The brilliant minds behind this one of a kind job are Ganns and Cathy Deens.  Their purpose is to device a creative plan on how Mr. Right pops up that to die for question – “will you marry me?”

One of their clients even made a testimonial on how Ganns and Cathy helped him execute the most unforgettable moment of his life…

My wife loves cooking…  So what happened was –
after dinner the waiter came in holding the surprise

for my wife to be at that time, a cookbook.

 When she opened it

she found a page with a  wedding cake recipe and a ring on it

The rest is history..

I know it sounds so cheesy, but I think they have the most interesting job here on Earth.  =)

Wow… Change is indeed inevitable.  Akalain mo, more and more exciting jobs are coming out nowadays.

Well, for those men who want to get a hold of the proposal planners just visit these links:

HINLALATO KA!

August 1, 2006

Pakyu, ngarat, bad finger, middle finger, read between the lines…

Ito ang karaniwang bansag natin sa gitnang daliri.  I just learned this morning that in Filipino it is called as HINLALATO!  Well, it makes sense…  hinlalaki, hintuturo, hinlalato, palasingsingan at hinliliit.

I was browsing through inquirer, at ito ang natagpuan ko!  Ang tagalog ng middle finger…  Galing no, at least I get to brush up with my super doper lalim pinoy words!

So, tell me is it okay to say HINLALATO KA instead of PAKYU?

Grabe, crappy thoughts na naman…
